Today was the first day of the European championships 2008. After the arrival most of the teams used the opportunity to take part in the model events for the sprint distance in the centre of Ventspils, as well as for middle and long distances outside the city. Less than one week until the European Orienteering Championships in Ventspils and 40 days till the Junior World Orienteering Championships in Gothenburg. Im selected and Ill represent team Latvia at both championships. At the present Im quite busy because of session at the University of Latvia but it dont stop me to get ready for the EOC.
