Downtown Sprint Map Update
I didnt make much progress fieldchecking this week. I had a lunch meeting and had some other stuff get in the way of my fieldchecking time. The image shows the current status of the mapping project. Ive finished fieldchecking the two empty blocks on the south of the image. I should be able to draft them this weekend.

Norwegian relay team?
So the Norwegian national team coaching staff now includes Petter Thoresen, Oystein Kristiansen and Jorgen Rostrup. If those three showed up as a relay team, I wonder how high theyd place in a WOC.

Downtown map train tracks
This little bit of the downtown map show the intersection of 6th and Mass. The building with the two round bits is City Hall.
Initially I drew the train tracks with the symbol for tram tracks. But, I decided that I liked the train track symbol better.
Friday, a train rolled by my window and followed the tracks across Mass.

Becoming a master at...
The 2008 orienteering season is over for me and I have to admit, I have not yet mastered the sport of orienteering. This season has had a lot of ups and downs and even though I have seen progress in my ability, I am not satisfied with where I am. I want more, I want to become better. But do we really ever master a task, or does the inner perfectionist in us always drive us to try to become even better. Quickroute with heart rate curve from today's run
I ran a local event at Blue and Grey Park. Warm (80s and sunny) and rough terrain inspired me to take it a bit easy, looking for routes that would keep me out of the roughest vegetation. Heres the QR track with heart rate.
